Long Time …No Blog

How does life get so busy? My newest full-time job as mommy has been busier than expected. And, now Summer Vacation has arrived, Yikes! What do I do now? We are on a very tight budget and I am trying to figure out how to entertain a 7yr. old all summer long! So far, we have morning walks around the lake, Wednesday FREE movies, visits to the library, and visits to the park and beach. We're gonna pack our own lunches, sneak in some candy bars to the theater, co-op baby sitting and take advantage of every FREE activity we can. Times are tough. I'd love any suggestions any of you might have for summer fun! I'll put all your suggestions in a random generator and the winner will get a darling little surprise from Delightful Trinkets!!!

Handmade District

What a lovely day! I cannot thank our fearless leader Kayte enough, she was amazing!!!

The day was a complete success. It was the greatest group of vendors with so many lovely items. Thank you to our supportive friends who visited and I am thankful for the new friends made. Best of all $500 was raised to benefit Music Saves Lives.

Here are but a few photos of the day, it was a little overcast, would be my only complaint.

Hello Change...

Your very own Shepard Fairey inspired print at Obamicon.me. Of course mine had to be of Hello Kitty. Hope you don't mind Sanrio.

Craft-O-Bama

I can hardly believe that I will see this happen in my lifetime, and I am truly blessed to witness this event. It is not only Barack Obama's duty, but ours as well, to make this nation a better place to live and rebuild all that is broken. In honor of the highly anticipated Inauguration tomorrow, I have compiled a list of all things Obama which just so happen to be all things crafty. So go out and stimulate the economy by grabbing a one-of-a-kind, Obama commemorative craft from etsy.com.

Lovely Tunes… Swooning Over the Music of Joshua Radin

Photo: Joshua Radin :: joshuaradin.com

Simple Times and We Were Here have been on repeat, on my iTunes for days now, (it's gotten me through a tough week at work) so I thought I'd share with you all. Joshua Radin's gentle voice has been featured on several films and television shows, such as, City of Angels, The Last Kiss, (with Zach Braff, which is where I found him) Grey's Anatomy and The Office. He has an amazingly sweet voice, it's music I love listening to when creating! And this week, Starbuck's is featuring Joshua Radin as their Pick of the Week.

Visit any Starbuck's for a free redeemable card to download "One of Those Days" at the iTunes Store. Visit joshuaradin.com to sample some of his lovely tunes.
